This is Customized Dry Gas Seal for Compressors.
Dry gas seal is a non-contact type of seal with the following key features:
- Non-Contact Seal: The rotating and stationary rings are separated by a gas film, resulting in minimal operating energy consumption. It is an energy-efficient sealing solution with a long service life.
- Elimination of Large Seal Oil Systems: Dry gas seals do not require extensive seal oil systems, reducing overall costs.
- Simple Operation and High Reliability: These seals are easy to operate and highly reliable.
- Low Operating and Maintenance Costs: Dry gas seals have low operational and maintenance expenses and require minimal space.
- Complex Structure and Technical Challenges: The design of dry gas seals is intricate and technically demanding, requiring high manufacturing and installation precision as well as a clean gas source.
Working Principle
Dry gas seals operate non-contact by incorporating dynamic pressure grooves on the rotating ring and utilizing an auxiliary system. The stationary ring is spring-loaded and assisted by O-rings for sealing. When the rotating ring spins, the hydrodynamic grooves pump high-pressure barrier gas into the sealing interface, forming an extremely thin gas film that completely blocks leakage paths, achieving zero leakage or zero emissions.
Applications
Dry gas seals are suitable for shaft-end sealing in high-speed and high-pressure equipment, particularly in the petrochemical industry and other applications involving hazardous gas compressors. They are available in various configurations, including single seals, double seals, tandem seals, and tandem seals with intermediate labyrinths, allowing selection based on specific operating conditions.
